A More Nurturing Approach to 2017
New Year’s Eve makes its visit our way yet again in a few days. 2016 was definitely a year full of twists and turns whether it was politically or perhaps emotionally in your own private space. Now that things are winding down, are you ready to make your New Year’s resolutions? Do you even make resolutions? If so, do you stick to them? I must be honest – I never really set New Year’s resolutions growing up—maybe in school for assignment purposes. However, after becoming a Certified Angel Card Reader, I was able to channel messages from our guardian angels that help us to look at resolutions in different perspectives. Instead of making resolutions—what is your nurturing plan for 2017?
New Year's Eve gives us all another chance to reinvent ourselves—another chance at life. Resolutions though can be stressful for some people as they feel they must create elaborate goals. Others may even feel that since they didn't commit to the ones they set out last year...why bother now? Sometimes resolutions become more of a robotic checklist that seems too rigidly set in stone. In channeling the messages from the angels' perspective on the old familiar "resolution" question, I was intuitively guided to connect with a new way of saying “resolution”, or a newly developed action plan that we can set for the new year.
You don't have to label each year as "resolution time" as this tends to trigger thoughts of feeling pressured, and sometimes quitting before even starting. Rather, your angels want you to have fun with your goals and to be flexible with what may come up through the manifestation process. A “nurturing plan” is what I was guided to share with you all.
Nurture means tending to every aspect of your goal/life, making them "grow" daily--just as you would nurture flowers/plants. A little water here, soil-seeds--sunlight there--etc. For goals-- all you need is the intention, affirmations, vision boards, action plans, divine timing, etc--you'll see changes that bring you forward each day. With developed, nurtured plans, the gateway to being more creative flourishes and you’re more determined/motivated to see the completion of the creations/experiences you can have in your life. It brings the joy back into wanting to take your life to new heights and the desire to see the completion of your goal.
What areas of your life do you want to nurture/grow toward a healthier state?
Career/Work
Relationships: Family, Romantic Relationships, Co-Workers
Health: Mental, Physical, Emotional
Thought Patterns/Habits regarding Money/Abundance, Food or Substance Behaviors
Exploring/Learning something new
For each area of your life, ask yourself the following questions in determining your inner compass toward what needs more nurturing in your life:
What worked well for you last year?
What didn't work well?
What thought patterns led you to____.
What could you have handled differently?
What were your unfinished products?
What did you start?
What places would you like to visit?
A nurturing plan encourages you to want to make healthier lifestyle choices in every area of your life. Take moment and say nurturing plan – what do you feel? Do you feel creative, carefree, and motivated when you say it? Now say “resolution” -- what comes to mind? Do you feel nervous, agitated, and overwhelmed? Nurturing plans are tailored to your needs and not toward what another person is trying to accomplish—this isn’t a race or a need to outshine someone else.
Nurturing plans are for your benefit and help you grow where you need to…
Make or find affirmations that pertain to the area in your life you need to enhance.
Create vision boards of what you want your goals to look like—whether its cut-outs or drawings.
Make a list of what you want, but write it as if it’s already happening, in order to align with the universe that you are not with lack, but full of abundance in all levels.
Take action on things you know you can control in life and devote increments of time daily to your goal—even if it’s just five minutes, you're that much closer than you were yesterday.
Understand that divine timing does come into play—things that are out of your control. When all the resources are ready to be presented to you—meet it with confidence and patience.
There is also another simple, stress-free, effective nurturing plan you can set for yourself, which will spark off a ripple effect of good things to follow. Just affirm that you want to "Be Happy!" Promise yourself, that in 2017, you will smile more, laugh more, & surround yourself with people that will make you do & feel all of this. Promise yourself that you will only involve yourself in situations that will truly bring happiness into your life, your heart-- & be drama free. When you start off with this simple, pure intent, anything wonderful is possible & you can attract so much good into your life.
I wish you all a safe, happy, healthy and nurturing 2017!
